WomensJourneys only counts displayed banners, it doesn't count just page requests. The actual number of times a user views the banner is higher because we also do not count page requests from the PC's cache. Click-throughs: Click-throughs are the number of times a visitor clicks on an advertisement, hyperlinking the visitor to the advertiser's web site. WomensJourneys click-throughs are counted via a cgi script. Therefore you can measure the success of the banner. Alternating banners in the same location you can attain valuable feedback as to the design of your banner. Monitoring this allows for maximization of the effectiveness of the ad and campaign budget. Click-through ratio: Click-through ratio is a ratio that indicates the success of an advertisement by dividing click-throughs by total impressions. The quality and content of an ad can greatly affect this. Advertisers who monitor this can greatly improve sales.

compelling advertisements and server performance, we have established the following guidelines for advertising graphics on WomensJourneys. Image File Format for Banners: GIF format Image Dimensions: 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels tall Image Colors: Up to 16.7 million colors Image File Size: 12K maximum size Animated GIFs: Allowed; JAVA Ads: Not allowed. Banners may be changed once a month .
