Miracle in Germany

What a wonderful trip to Germany I had. Amazing things happened while I was there. The Goddess was walking with me, of this I am sure... let me tell you why....

This story starts about 5 years ago when I fled Illinois from and abusive husband. I had not told anyone I was going and dare not contact anyone for fear of my life. I escaped with the help of the Goddess and lot's of hard work. The sad thing was.. while I was moving, I lost a most valuable box. It was all my contact information for my two brothers who were over-seas. They had no clue how to contact me, and now I had lost them as well. (They were both in the middle of relocating themselves and I could not remember where.) Thus.. I have searched and searched for 5 long years to find my lost family. I had all but given up hope recently and gave it to the hands of the Goddess.... telling her that if it be her will... I would find them or they would find me, but I was done searching.

Now... here I am in Germany with my significant other driving and trying to get to the Rhine River to sample some wonderful German wines and we hit detour after detour, road construction everywhere and no straight path to where we wanted to go. After hitting about the 15th detour one afternoon and sitting waiting at a stop light to turn, I looked up and saw walking past the car a woman who looked so familiar to me it was spooky, she looked like my brother's wife Wenche.. I blinked and thought.. NO.. this can't be.... then about 15 feet behind her and hurrying to catch her.. I saw.... MY BROTHER BRUCE!!! I was so shocked I just sat there for a moment, then we had turned the corner and I started yelling. "STOP THE CAR!!! STOP THE CAR!!!"   I screamed that I had just seen my brother and jumped out to see if I could find them. I turned the corner again and there was NO ONE on the street, just then, I looked up and in the window of a hotel was my sister in law. I went in and said "Wenche?"... her mouth dropped open and then my brother walked up behind me, I thought he was going to fall over! Here I was half way around the world, and they were right before me!

They live in Norway and were about 1000 miles from their home on a bicycle trip and were leaving for home that very night. Well.... we went out to the festival there in Rudeshiem (the little town we were in) and had a bottle of wine and talked for about 4 hours. It was so nice. They had tryed to find me as well and had finally given it to the fates to decide and WOW! I now know where both brothers are.. we have an e-mail correspondence going and have 5 5 years to catch up on. I am twice an aunt from my brother Denis who had just gotten married. Both of my brothers are well and it is a relief to be back in contact with them.

Needless to say, I shall never again complain about a detour. I shall happily follow the path the Goddess sets for me without complaint. Well.... maybe a little complaint every once in a while. (grin)

I have truely been blessed this year. I just wanted to share that with you.
