Autumn Tides
By White Raven

I always thought that autumn
Was a tide that blew life away
Sweeping the leaves from the trees
In a torrent of coloured display.
Paving a path for the winter
To grip all our hearts in cold
But this autumn's tide is showing me
The wisdom I have and I hold.

The autumn this year is bright
Cold and fiery in its own style
I'm starting to trust in its magic
As I walk mile upon weary mile
I don't know what winter will bring me
As I move with this autumn's tide
But the future's a puzzle that draws me
To a sea that is wondrous and wild.
